IMSA veteran Katherine Legge to make NASCAR oval debut at Richmond

It is her third overall start for JD Motorsports

Katherine Legge’s indoctrination into stock cars will continue this weekend with her first career start on an oval.

The 38-year-old sports car and open-wheel veteran will return to the Xfinity Series this weekend for JD Motorsports in the No. 15 Chevrolet Camaro. This will be her third start of the season — both previous appearances occurred on road courses; she finished 30th at Mid-Ohio and 14th at Road America.

She is currently a full-time GTD driver in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar championship.
